The tour of South Main Street starts at 380 South Main Street, the corner of William Street and South Main. The South Main St. Historic District extends from Seneca St. south to Conover St. The Historic District includes 140 structures as well as Pulteney Park and the original quad of the Hobart College campus.

The Geneva Historical Society Museum can offer more information about the history of and architecture of Geneva. The restored Federal home is open to public 1:30-4:30 p.m.; Monday through Friday year round and Saturday 1:30-4:30 p.m., June through October. It is easily located at the crossroads of Route 14 and Routes 5 & 20.
